  • Cat Zingano Upsets The UFC’s Plans for Tate-Rousey II

Dana White was obviously looking forward to promoting Tate-Rousey part deux, going by his reaction after Cat Zingano brutally stopped Miesha Tate in their bout. I had thought that Miesha Tate was going to outclass the lesser-known Zingano, but Cat proved everyone wrong.

Miesha Tate just hasn’t had any luck recently, but I actually am more excited to see Ronda Rousey take on some new blood in Cat Zingano. While Miesha Tate has a lot of heart, I don’t think she has anything more to offer that would nullify Rousey’s armbar. Zingano will offer a fresh match-up, and she’s about to become well-known in the MMA world – by being a coach on The Ultimate Fighter. Congrats Cat Zingano!

  • Who Is Cat Zingano?

Cat Zingano will be facing Miesha Tate to determine the number one contender to Ronda Rousey. Realistically, neither of these women pose a threat to Rousey at the moment. Although Miesha Tate is a very tough and talented fighter, she has shown that she has no answer to Rousey’s armbar. But Tate has had legit competition in the past, and a stellar win over Marloes Coenen.

Cat Zingano is a Colorado-based WMMA fighter. She is married to a BJJ instructor and has won the past seven of her fights with no losses. Her fights have been against lower-level competition, and I think she’s in for a rude awakening when she faces Miesha Tate. I predict Tate winning with her grappling and ring experience, and re-matching with Rousey.

I think the re-match will actually be fun. Miesha Tate has a fiery personality, and her and Rousey will have some fun pre-fight promotion.

  • Miesha Tate is the One Who’s Delusional, Says She Was Beating Ronda Rousey

Miesha Tate should stick to taking MySpace photos of herself. You would think that after nearly getting her arm snapped off in front of a television audience, she would be more humble. Think again. Ronda Rousey isn’t exactly the picture of modesty herself, but at least she can back up most of what she says. Miesha, on the other hand, seems to cling to the notion that Ronda can only do one thing, and that she was winning the fight before Ronda just magically somehow almost broke her arm. I’m sorry, lasting one round does NOT mean the fight was competitive. Miesha is seriously delusional and I think has some yes-men around her who are feeding into this foolishness.

In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, Miesha Tate even says that she thinks she could beat Rousey in a re-match. While I think Ronda can be beaten, and has some holes in her game, Miesha Tate isn’t the person who’s going to do it. Ronda has no striking game, most likely a suspect chin, and questionable stamina. But it would take a beast like Cyborg Santos who has the strikes, strength, and BJJ to nullify Ronda Rousey.

  • Ronda Rousey Made ONLY 32K, Miesha Tate Only 19K For Strikeforce Fight

While Strikeforce is not as big as the UFC, even though the UFC has been under recent scrutiny for how low they pay their fighters, the amount Strikeforce payed the fighters at their last event is cringe-worthy.

With other fighters making as little as 8,000 for their fight, main-eventer Miesha Tate only made 19,000 for almost getting her arm snapped in two. Ronda Rousey fared a little better with 32,000, and then a 17,000 win bonus. But even with the bonus, Rousey only scored around 49,000. In particular for Tate, who is likely going to have to undergo long-term medical treatment for her arm, everyone knows how expensive medical bills are. Not to mention that this fee doesn’t cover training camp, taxes, and other fees that are sure to crop up for a professional fighter. This is too bad. Hopefully, in the future, these fighters can make more.

Seriously, though, 8000 barely covers traveling fees for some of these fighters. This is a shame.

  • Ronda Rousey Defeats Miesha Tate Via Submission by Breaking Her Arm

In an exciting fight, with a brutal ending, Ronda Rousey outgrappled Miesha Tate, and broke her arm in the process en route to a submission victory.

I could see this ending coming miles away. I’m not sure why anyone gave Miesha a chance. Miesha’s fights are snoozefests, while Ronda is a vicious beast. Ronda needs to fight Sarah Kaufman next. As far as I know, there are no other female mma fighter who have such a sick submission game like Ronda. With the limited amount of competition currently in women’s MMA, Ronda is on another level. She also needs to fight Cyborg Santos when Santos returns.

  • Ronda Rousey is Ripped and Ready for Miesha Tate

Ronda Rousey looks like she trained her a** off in preparation for the Miesha Tate fight. I’ve always thought of Rousey as a talented girl with a slightly soft body. But in this picture she’s sporting a mean pair of abs, and looks like she’s ready to rip off Miesha Tate’s arm!

  • Ronda Rousey vs Miesha Tate Weigh-In

Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate weigh-in for the Strikeforce event tomorrow night. Both of them look great, in particular, I’ve never seen Ronda looks so ripped.

They have a face-off, in which Miesha Tate emerges a little shaken. I think Tate is intimidated by Rousey. I truly think Ronda Rousey is going to win this fight very easily. Either way, I’m happy that women are getting their chance to shine!

  • What Gina Carano Thinks of Ronda Rousey VS Miesha Tate

    celebrity profile

Erstwhile MMA fighter, Gina Carano, gives her thoughts on Ronda Rousey vs Miesha Tate. This is the only female MMA fight in a while that has generated a significant amount of interest. Gina Carano, diplomatic as always, says that she doesn’t want to pick a winner, and doesn’t attend female fights because she doesn’t want to to draw attention away from the female fighters.

While recently signed to do a new movie, she says she’s still a big fan of female MMA. Due to Miesha Tate pulling out the surprise win against Marlous Coenen, Carano gives the edge to Miesha Tate to win over rookie Ronda Rousey.

Personal note: I think it’s a shame that Gina Carano no longer fights, after losing her first fight. She liked the attention and winning, but quit as soon as she lost. Good riddance, I say. And I used to be a Gina Carano fan. Say what you will about Cyborg Santos, but she was a real fighter.

  • Miesha Tate Says Ronda Rousey is Delusional

For Ronda Rousey, it seems like the only female MMA fighter she gets a long with is Gina Carano, who is now retired. After bashing Cyborg Santos on twitter, her latest feud is with current future opponent Miesha Tate.

Miesha was recently on HDnet firing back at Rousey. She states that Rousey is “delusional” and is also a one-trick pony.

Author’s Note: I hate watching Miesha Tate fight. I’ve never been able to get through more than two minutes of her fighting. I can’t wait for Cyborg to come back!
