  • Tyrone Spong Vanquishes Remy Bonjasky From The Kickboxing Elite

With much joy, I report that Tyrone Spong KO’ed Remy Bonjasky in the second round with a right hook. I’ve long found Remy Bonjasky a boring *spoiler* type of fighter, one who isn’t exciting, but constantly wins with his boring, yawn-inducing style. While I admit he’s a good fighter, I’m happy to see that he no longer seems capable of winning big fights. After losing to fledgling Jamal Ben Saddik, Bonjasky has been knocked out by Tyrone Spong.

Hopefully, this is the end of Bonjasky’s career and he retires for good this time!

  • Remy Bonjasky Gets It On With Tyrone Spong On March 23rd!

Kickboxing has definitely been more exciting for the fans lately. Semmy Schilt recently won a major tournament, and now Glory is putting on another great main event. I consider this a passing-of-the-torch fight – if Spong can win this fight.

Tyrone Spong needs to step up and vanquish the older generation of kickboxers, so he can lead the way for the new generation to emerge. Plus, Bonjasky is a boring predictable fighter, so I would like to see him gone. He’s one of my least favorite kickboxers.

  • Daniel Ghita Signs With Glory

After lying low for months, Glory has signed Daniel Ghita in a great acquisition for the rising kickboxing organization. They are fast on their way to becoming the number one kickboxing organization in the world. Daniel Ghita looks like the number one man in the heavyweight kickboxing scene. Greatly feared, it was even reported that Gokhan Saki had refused to fight him.

There are now potentially some great matchups that Daniel Ghita could participate in against Semmy Schilt, Remy Bonjasky, or Tyrone Spong. I would love to see the results of all three of these fights, although I would choose Ghita as the winner in all of these.

  • Remy Bonjasky Thinks He Has Charisma – Ha Ha Ha

Remy Bonjasky is one the best kickboxers in recent time, but what he is not is charismatic. In an interview with BloodyElbow.com Bonjasky notes that while Semmy Schilt is still active, he lacks the charisma of an Ernesto Hoost or Peter Aerts.

In the charisma department, Remy Bonjasky has about as much charisma as Semmy Schilt. In my opinion, he was about as interesting to watch as paint drying. Schilt, on the other hand, at least had some exciting fights, most notably the ones that he lost against Badr Hari and Peter Aerts.

Bonjasky also mentions that he would fight Badr Hari again. Bonjasky just won a close decision against Anderson Braddock Silva. Bonjasky looks ok, but hardly a fighter that will light the kickboxing world on fire.

  • Gokhan Saki Makes a Nice Comeback Against Carter Williams, Full Video

Gokhan Saki is a talented Turkish-Dutch kickboxer who always seems to be on the precipice of greatness, but never is able to break through with a signature win. His most rousing performance was probably knocking down a steroid-filled Alistair Overeem while fighting with a broken arm. But he hasn’t been able to get wins over the big names, to push him to superstar status.

After his disappointing performance against Badr Hari, Saki rebounds with a nice performance against Carter Williams. I think Saki has amazing kicks and a wonderful, exciting fighting style. It’s a shame there isn’t a middleweight or cruiserweight division in kickboxing, because I think Saki would do great in that division.

Hello, I'm the Boxing Blogger. I started watching boxing as a little girl, because of my father telling me stories about Muhammad Ali, who was his hero. I have watched the sweet science ever since, but recently decided to write about it. Thanks for visiting! Please COMMENT, I love hearing from readers!
