Nick Diaz Might Have The Worst Skin In MMA

First, let me say, that I’m a big Nick Diaz fan. I’ve been a Diaz fan since he first knocked out Robbie Lawler. I loved his Gogoplata win over Gomi, and followed his career as he roamed around the world fighting all comers. He has always been a Ronin-like figure to me.

However, it seems like in every fight he is always badly cut, scar tissue has formed around his eyes, and his face looks much older than his still young age. This, of course, could be the result of his fighting style, and his willingness to absorb blows on the face. But having good skin in fighting is an underrated asset to have. Anderson Silva seems to have great skin – I’ve never seen him cut or really even swelling or bruised. BJ Penn also seems to have snakeskin, except for his fight against Nick Diaz, he also rarely seems to cut.

Diaz actually lost a fight to KJ Noons because of the cuts he received. He’s now supposedly retired, but I hope one day he returns.

Hello, I'm the Boxing Blogger. I started watching boxing as a little girl, because of my father telling me stories about Muhammad Ali, who was his hero. I have watched the sweet science ever since, but recently decided to write about it. Thanks for visiting! Please COMMENT, I love hearing from readers!
