Since Buakaw Por Pramuk’s bitter split with his gym, he wants to only be known as Buakaw, and has previously said that he wanted to retire years ago, but his gym forced him to continue fighting.

I feel bad for Buakaw, as he has said, “I can stand tough training, but not poor treatment. It is about mind, not the body.”

Yet shortly after going in hiding from his gym, he is fighting again. This time with Rustem Zaripov on April 17th. Below is the video of the fight. Buakaw looks very good, but if his heart is no longer in fighting, and his soul is weary, I wish he would retire. He’s already had an amazing career, and there IS life after fighting.
